Regular audit of re-certification is successfully completed at Ventspils nafta termināls Ltd - subsidiary of joint stock company Ventspils nafta. The company obtained the latest certificates that attest to conformity of its operation to requirements of the international quality management standard ISO 9001 and environment management standard ISO 14001. Operation of the terminal has been certified in accordance with ISO requirements since 2000, and the necessary re-certification procedures are carried out every three years.
Conformity of Ventspils nafta termināls Ltd to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 was verified by the international certification organization Bureau Veritas Certification, who carried out the audit in all structural units of the company in order to ascertain that its integrated management system complies with requirements fixed by the environmental management standard ISO 14001:2004 and the new quality management standard ISO 9001:2008, the latest version of which came into effect only about a year ago. No lack of conformity to norms of standards were found during the audit.
The quality and environmental management system confirms that Ventspils nafta termināls Ltd is able to guarantee safe and efficient services in the transit area, while at the same time decreasing the company's impact on the environment in an economically reasonable way. For the company's customers, partners, shareholders and broader society, ISO certificates attest that processes at Ventspils nafta termināls Ltd are well-arranged and take place in tightly controlled conditions, thus ensuring conformity of the company's services to the initial requirements, as well as improving the efficiency of the terminal's management.

The quality and management system is being continuously developed at Ventspils nafta termināls Ltd. Among new examples already implemented to deliver improvement is, for example, fixing the competence models of the company's employees, expansion of range of electronically available documents, improvement of internal and external communication, etc. Also the company responds more actively to the wishes of customers for the introduction of new services.
SIA Ventspils nafta termināls Ltd is a subsidiary of AS Ventspils nafta. 51% of it belongs to AS Ventspils nafta while 49% are owned by the Vitol company Euromin Holdings (Cyprus) Limited. The terminal renders transit services: reception of oil and diesel fuel via pipelines, as well as reception, storage and transshipment of diesel fuel, motor gasoline and other petroleum products delivered by railway and sea.
Ventspils nafta termināls Ltd is the largest of such companies in the region, and its crude oil and petroleum products shore-tank farm reaches 1.2 million cubic metres and has no analogues among similar companies in the nearest countries.
