Not only SIA “”Ventspils nafta” terminals” (VNT) is an economically significant and large employer in Kurzeme, it also cares about growth and progress of the whole region; therefore, a successful cooperation has developed between VNT and North Kurzeme Regional Hospital. This year, VNT presented the latest blood pressure monitors to the hospital. This valuable present will significantly ease the daily work of the staff, especially for the emergency department where each second plays a crucial role. The new blood pressure monitor will shorten the examination time allowing for monitoring the blood pressure within few seconds.

SIA ““Ventspils nafta” terminals” (VNT), in reference to the information published on the official municipal webpage www.ventspils.lv and www.ventasbalss.lv on 2 December 2016 regarding stenches related to oil products in the city of Ventspils, implicitly rejects its connection with the stenches and points out that in the respective period – 1 December 2016 – several port operators were performing cargo operations at the port of Ventspils.

SIA ““Ventspils nafta” termināls” (VNT) takes note of the decision of the board of Ventspils Freeport dated 04 November 2016 to approve the initial plan of VNT to build a Vapour Recovery Unit (VRU) along the shoreline in AS “Ventbunkers” (VBU) territory. However, the resolution of the board of Ventspils Freeport in favour of the project in this location is related to an obsolete plan as already on 10 October 2016 VNT has informed Ventspils Freeport Authority about its decision to build the VRU within its own leased territory at Talsu Street 75 and has already started cooperation with the related parties as to approvals.
